Project Proposal
The current streaming server, fenice, is already an heavy threaded application, the new server on development is based on an even more modular architecture.
The (ls)^3 group could use this quad core system to improve the current server and assure it is working correctly on a 64bit multicore architecture and leverage the hardware features to provide the best perfomance in the new server implementation.
