Project Proposal
My goal is to implement a new algorithm which detects inferior printing quality and errors by using EFIKA and a SOHO document scanner. The algorithm relays on the comparison of an inspected document with its referential version. It firstly registers the images (using frequency domain space, affine transformations) of the two documents, and then detects any discrepancies between the aligned pixels or regions.
Preliminary tests showed that the error detection rate for this new algorithm is as high as 95% at 100% positive predictability rate.
But will EFIKA be powerful enough to handle all computations?
