 Matchbox on EFIKA. - 2.6.24.x kernel patchset

We've just uploaded the ports for the Matchbox environment, and it works great on the EFIKA (better if you have a touchscreen attached to the Efika, of course!).

Kiosk powered by CRUX PPC on EFIKA

Information kiosk on EFIKA with our old faithful 3M Microtouch 12" powered by CRUXPPC-2.4pre1 (kernel-2.6.22.6+xorg-7.3+xfce-4.4.1+firefox-2.0.0.7).
Is available an home-made 3M Microtouch patched driver against 2.6.22.x too.

EFIKA @ Pianeta Amiga 2007

We'll be at Pianeta Amiga 2007 with our stable CRUX PPC 2.2 and CRUX PPC 2.4pre1.
Experimental SoC's pendrive (or CFII or Microdrive) solution preview on EFIKA.
Genesi EFIKA, obviously CRUX PPC powered, 'll be available.

Efika “ready to use” archive

A small test archive of a a subset of the core CRUX PPC ports has been prepeared by The CRUX PPC Team. The download is only 46Mb and the disk space required to untar the whole system is 190Mb.
The archive is ready to be untarred on an USB Pendrive and booted/used from there on the EFIKA.
We hope to release soon an improved and fine-tuned Efika archive; we will probably remove some terminfo and gconv files and some packages to reduce disk footprint, and will provide fine-tuned kernel with new patches along with a very simple dialog based network package fetcher and installer.

next CRUX PPC 2.2.0.2 stable info

we'll release soon our stable CRUX PPC 2.2 with a bumped gcc to 4.0.4 then we'll have a rock solid toolchain. We are already working on CRUX PPC 2.3 toolchain.
There'll be the 3th generation of Ilenia our powerfull ports maintainence tool.
We hope to realise a new and updated EFIKA patches collection too (kernel 2.6.21).

EFIKA's flavours!

We are testing some solution to realise a one time server using EFIKA SoC, we'll do different "flavours" for different needs e.g. tftp,httpd,thinclient,octave terminal,shell,etc..
To make a "flavour" we have choose to release a couple of files, an high optimized and patched kernel image and a squashfs with only useful appz compiled with cpu optimized cflags.
We are, also, looking for one radeon 9250 and one volari v3 to test directfb support.
