Project Summary
Investigate an implementation of the IEEE 1588 Precision Clock Synchronization Protocol on the MPC5200B.
This project would attempt to implement the IEEE 1588 protocol using the EFIKA as a test platform. The goal is to implement the IEEE 1588 protocol without requiring a dedicated CPLD or FPGA, but at the same time improving the time syncronization uncertainty as compared to a general \"software only\" approach.
Some background information on the standard can be found at [url]http://ieee1588.nist.gov/ An open source \"software only\" project can be found at [url]http://ptpd.sourceforge.net/
Thank You, Jeff Wittrock

Project Closed
posted by Jeff Wittrock on 26th October 2006
I am closing this project because I am using my own MPC5200B hardware, so this project will not be developed using the EFIKA.
