	videoscale.filter posted by Grzegorz Kraszewski on 6th April 2006 The Reggae class, I'm currently working on is videoscale.filter. As its name says it will be used for scaling pictures and video (in Reggae a picture is treated as a video stream with one single frame). The first algorithm implemented will be simple bilinear scaling. It is of course very simple, and often not enough for quality scaling of single images, but its speed will be valuable for scaling video in realtime. AltiVec acceleration is planned of course. Then I will move to more advanced algorithms: bicubic, B-splines and Lanczos (sinc()). I'm going to check if gfx card 3D unit may be used for scaling, it may be much faster.
