Well, I've verified that using 3-rd order polynomial approximation instead of look-up table is slower. 178 byte table fits easily in L1 cache, and it is not used in a tight loop, so replacing one fetch with 6 multiplications and 3 additions is not a big deal. Said so, I consider ima-adpcm.decoder class finished. It will be released to the public tomorrow. It will be available from Reggae home page as usual. Of course it requires updated wave.demuxer, which will be available too.
