Project Proposal
The air-pollution smog monitoring project will be based on the 8641D and OpenSolaris-based/Linux operating system in which the 8641D works as the master console to smaller computers in a distributed wireless sensor mesh network to monitor air quality throughout a city. A centralized panel shows the various sensors throughout the city and what the quality of air is within a specific time period. The 8641D is sent alert information from distributed computers, calculates/compiles, and displays statistical data when the air quality falls below a specific threshold - as well monitor the diagnostic status of the distributed computers when sensors are unreachable for some reason....
